1962 24' Shepherd 'Strange Magic'

This Shepherd has been completely restored and is turn key.  It is powered with original twin Chrysler 318 A's.  It was the last 24' Shepherd to be built- hull 42 of 42.  It was custom outfitted and used on Lake Simcoe in the Muskoka Lakes region of Ontario.  The custom features include drop leaf table, directors chairs, v-8 engines instead of the usual 6 cylinder Chryslers and mahogany ceilings instead of the usual plywood.  The boat got a new bottom from the waterline down in 2001 and a new transom and chines this past winter.  The engines were rebuilt in 2001 and have about 360 hours on the rebuild.  The throttle and shift controls have been upgraded to custom Livorsi controls with modern control cables.  Nothing has been overlooked on this boat.  Equipped with new upgraded rudders for superb handling and custom Acme 4 blade props.  The boat can reach speeds of 54 mph.  Bluetooth stereo system, full bimini top and Loadmaster trailer included.  This Shepherd won the 'Best Shepherd' award 5 times at Gravehurst and scored 96 out of 100 at the 2009 International ACBS Show.  It recently won 'Captains' Choice' at the 2017 Geneva Lakes Boat Show.  $149,000

1953 27' Shepherd Express Cruiser 'Falcon'

This amazing craft was painstakingly restored by Bergersen Boat Co. This hull is #13 in the first series of 27' Shepherds built with a beam of 9' 6". This boat boasts the rare 331Chrysler Hemis first offered in 1953. The engines were just overhauled including the Chrysler V-drive transmissions that have all reconditioned clutch packs and seals. Top speed is 42 mph. This boat comes complete with kerosene stove top, head, original stainless cooler and sink. The bottom is original and the hull sides have been refastened with silicon bronze screws. All bungs were made from original old stock Honduras Mahogany from a 'donor Shepherd'. This craft has the original throttle and shift control levers that have been custom machined to operate modern control cables. You will never find a smoother shift on a Shepherd. The 200+ HP Chrysler Hemi's have modern Delco electronic ignition systems that we machined parts and adapters to accept this incredible upgrade. With this new ignition system the engines run better than they did when brand new. The boat has 15 coats of Epifanes varnish just applied, restored windlass winch for the anchor, a custom built mahogany swim platform which mirrors the intricate Bubinga and teak grating on the floor in the boat.  Equipped with a  built in Fusion sound system with Bluetooth capabilities housed in the cuddy cabin and mahogany speakers.  This is the ultimate family boat with lots room, high sides, tons of storage space and a folding removable table.  It's ready for fun!  Winner of the 2016 Geneva Lakes Boat Show Captain's Choice Award.  Comes with new, custom fit full waterline Weathermax cover and bimini top. $210,000

1954 24' Shepherd Hardtop

This Shepherd is in excellent condition, it has received many awards; the most recent being Best Classic Cruiser at the 2016 ACBS Show.  Current owner has taken friends on numerous ACBS cruises across the eastern US including on:  the Mississippi, the Three Lakes Chain, the Eagle River Chain, the St. Lawrence, the Rideau, the Upper Ottawa, the Hudson and the Finger Islands of Huron.  The hardtop with crank up side windows and windshield wipers provides both space for friends and foul weather protection during cruise events.  To our knowledge this Shepherd is the only 24' hardtop in active use.  Shepherd offered hardtop versions of their classic open "V" driver cruisers, but very few were built.  The hardtop version has 6 inches more freeboard and a foot shorter deck to provide more space under the hardtop.  It also includes a second row of forward seats, in addition to the large aft bench seat.  The open 24' Shepherds had only one row of seats forward.  The hardtop arrangement accommodates up to eight under cover, and seating for four more than the open cruiser arrangement.   The original Hemi V-8 has been rebuilt.  In addition to replacing the transom, the chines, frames, all of the interior side paneling, flooring and fuel tank have been replaced.  The power train has been converted from a remotely activated hydraulic shifter to a classic floor stalk shifter for greater ease of docking.  Boat is equipped with a Garmin GPS, an InterPhase forward scanning sonar and a marine phone.  These units are mounted on a mahogany bracket in front of the dash on the right side of the helm.  These units make cruising much safer.  All seats have been re-upholstered in a shade of green matching the steering wheel and the new stalk knobs.  Comes with a custom built removable maple picnic table which can be installed in front of the rear bench seat.  A tandem axle trailer with brakes as well three boat covers are included. $69,000
